About The Position

The Devenere Law Collective (DLC) is seeking a Contract Civil Litigation Attorney who is federally licensed to join their expanding team. This is a contract-based role for an experienced civil litigation attorney confident in managing complex matters, appearing in state and federal courts, and maintaining a consistent caseload in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of legal practice
Active federal licensure (Southern District required)
Demonstrated experience in civil litigation
Experience in business law and real estate litigation
Trial experience
Ability to meet a minimum of 60 billable hours bi-weekly (120+ hours per month)
Strong ability to independently manage cases and deadlines

Nice To Haves

Experience handling federal litigation matters
Background in estate planning and/or tax law
Strong written and oral advocacy skills

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and federal court filings
Conduct legal research and develop strategic case approaches
Represent clients in state and federal court hearings, mediations, and trials
Handle all phases of discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document production
Ensure compliance with federal and state procedural rules and court deadlines
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
Provide case evaluations and legal recommendations
Collaborate with internal team members, including case managers and support staff
Maintain accurate and timely billing records to meet required billable hours
