About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Civil Litigation Practice in the Orange County, California office. The role offers the opportunity to work with an experienced trial team on real estate and personal injury defense matters. The Civil Litigation Practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide and represents defendants in significant-exposure civil litigation, including property and personal injury claims involving insured and self-insured businesses and individuals. The practice handles a wide range of matters and focuses particularly on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases. Its partners and senior associates are experienced trial attorneys, and the practice has received recognition for defense verdicts and other accomplishments. The firm is also interested in developing attorneys with strong litigation skills, including those whose experience is in litigation areas other than defense. This opportunity is suited to attorneys with substantive litigation experience seeking a position in a growing, collaborative firm.

Requirements

Admission to the California Bar is required.
Strong research and writing skills.
One to fifteen years of experience in all phases of defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, as well as hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Substantive litigation experience.

Some defense experience is preferred.
Experience in any litigation arena is of interest for developing talented attorneys.
