About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Civil Litigation Practice in the San Francisco, California office. The practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide and represents defendants in significant-exposure civil litigation matters, including property and personal injury claims involving businesses and individuals who may be insured or self-insured. The group handles a wide variety of matters and focuses on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases. Its partners and senior associates are experienced trial attorneys, and the practice has received recognition for its defense verdicts and other achievements. The firm welcomes candidates with defense litigation experience as well as developing attorneys with strong skills in other litigation arenas. This is an opportunity to join a growing, collaborative firm. Compensation is listed at $135,000 to $220,000 per year, and benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401(k) with employer match.

Requirements

Strong research and writing skills.
One to fifteen years of experience in all phases of defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, and handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
Admission to the California Bar is required.

Responsibilities

Handle all phases of defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery.
