Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, or related fields within government or public sector sales environments.
  • Strong understanding of UCC law, FAR regulations, federal acquisition processes, and compliance management practices.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills with the ability to review complex contracts and technical documents accurately.
  • Familiarity with document management systems such as DocuSign, ERP platforms like PeopleSoft or Salesforce, and records management protocols.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms while maintaining compliance standards.
  • Ability to conduct detailed research on procurement opportunities and develop strategic proposals that align with organizational goals.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including legal teams, vendors, and government agencies.
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes, change management strategies, and business development techniques within a government contracting context.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of bid proposals, including technical writing, pricing strategies, and compliance documentation to secure government contracts.
  • Manage the entire contract lifecycle from drafting and review to negotiation, execution, and renewal using tools like DocuSign and ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or Salesforce.
  • Conduct thorough document management and records keeping to ensure all contract files are accurate, organized, and accessible for audits or reviews.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure contracts meet UCC law standards, federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Negotiate terms with vendors and government agencies to optimize contractual agreements while maintaining compliance with procurement policies.
  • Perform research on procurement opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities to support strategic planning and business development efforts.
  • Facilitate vendor management processes by evaluating vendor performance, managing contractor relationships, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Review contractual documents meticulously for legal accuracy, intellectual property considerations, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support change management initiatives related to contract modifications or procurement procedures within ERP systems like PeopleSoft or Salesforce.
