About The Position

This role is responsible for managing contract and spot pricing within the AS400 system, updating purchasing price books, and handling invoice discrepancies. The coordinator will also create debit and credit memos, address pricing-related inquiries, and generate various reports for different departments. Additionally, the position involves maintaining informative spreadsheets, creating new vendors and contracts, reviewing vendor acknowledgements, and tracking quality certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update contract and spot pricing in the AS400, and update spot pricing in the Purchasing Price Book. This includes updating POs, pricing tables, and Base Item Notes, as well as working spreadsheets.
  • Review and approve invoice discrepancies for steel and outside processors.
  • Create debit and credit memos that are not related to mill claim issues.
  • Handle any questions, issues, or updates that arise dealing with pricing, either internally or with our vendors.
  • Run and manage reports needed for various departments and compliance, including Weekly Contract Report, Price Change Report, Bookings Report, Daily Inventory Report, High Carbon Active Report, Regional Inventory Report, and Sales Inventory Analysis.
  • Meet with Director of Internal Audit as requested to review reports and processes, ensuring the company is compliant with its written procedures.
  • Consistently update informative spreadsheets accessed by other departments, such as Lead Times, Mill Outages, Surcharges, Freight Rates, and Outside Processors Contact/Pricing Information.
  • Create new vendors and contracts in the AS400 as requested.
  • Review vendor acknowledgements and communicate with buyers and vendors over errors, changed delivery dates, and pricing discrepancies.
  • Track and communicate with buyers, schedulers, and metallurgists about referrals from vendors.
  • Track and update supplied quality certifications for compliance.
