About The Position

The Contract Administrator will be responsible for both estimating and contract administration duties. This role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings and military specifications, gathering and analyzing data to develop quotes, negotiating pricing and terms with customers, and managing data entry personnel. The administrator will also write and develop multi-year, multi-million dollar proposals. On the contract administration side, they will monitor ongoing contracts for conformance with terms and conditions, ensure on-time payment and completion of requirements, serve as the primary customer interface for contractual issues, ensure quick and accurate order processing, and act as a liaison between customers and production. Travel to meet with customers for negotiations and attendance at supplier conferences are also part of the role. Additionally, the administrator will calculate and submit pricing for engineering changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Above average computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive work environment

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and military specifications
  • Gather, evaluate, and analyze data (using current and historical data) to develop quotes for customers
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of conditions with customers
  • Manage and coordinate the work of data entry personnel
  • Write and develop multi-year, multi-million dollar proposals for our customers
  • Monitor on-going contracts to assure conformance with the terms and conditions, on-time payment, and ensure completion of requirements
  • Serve as primary customer interface for all contractual issues
  • Ensure orders are processed quickly and accurately
  • Ensure customer requests are acted upon quickly
  • Act as a liaison between customers and production
  • Travel and meet with customers to negotiate future and existing contracts
  • Attend supplier conferences as InterConnect's representative
  • Calculate and submit pricing for engineering changes
