About The Position

The Contract Administrator plays a key role in supporting the organization by preparing, examining, negotiating, and revising contracts to ensure consistency with organizational goals, soundness of legal matters in support of TASC rights with the party under contract and policy and procedures. This position partners with internal stakeholders, vendors, customers, and legal resources to ensure contracts align with business objectives, minimize risks, and support organizational success. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor navigating contractual obligations and driving successful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance, Communications or related field
  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in contracts, and legal risk mgmt
  • Ability to support complex contract activity that requires the development of specialized contract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals and objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Superior written skills with a focus on proper legal terminology, document construction and wording
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with internal and external customers. This includes difficult or crucial conversations with all levels of management internally and outside the Enterprise
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask a variety of different projects
  • Ability to use independent judgement and creativity to resolve contractual issues
  • Previous experience reviewing/managing contracts, appreciation of contract legal requirements, product compliance and other legal familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Administers various contracts (including all varieties of revenue, distribution, vendor/sourcing, special venture or unique business relationships.) These documents can take a variety of forms such as MSA, PSA, SOW, Amendments, Addendum, Letter of Intent and such. Duties require mitigating risks by understanding the purpose of the contracts, supporting negotiations, preparing correspondence, drafting documents or forms (i.e., redlining) obtaining business acceptance, execution of the forms, maintaining reference documentation and company-wide retention systems
  • Support the sales process through participation in preparation for request for proposals RFPs and coordination of all required documents, along with ensuring the Enterprise properly complies to requirements in said RFP while maintaining Enterprise rights
  • Explain and interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to contractual agreements and proper processes to follow
  • Generates, maintains and audits a central contract-resource file; ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
  • Write supporting letters and other communications or notices related to contracting matters
  • Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations. Ensure Enterprise policies are maintained or get approval where deviation has low risk and high value to the Enterprise
  • Review contract estimates, including proposed materials, costs, etc. and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate
  • Support negotiations or defense of claims or provisions manage contractual changes and resolve disputes by applying conflict resolution between contracted parties for the Enterprise
  • Establish contract management plans, measure and monitor performance and provide regular reporting
  • Work closely with Sourcing & Vendor Mgmt. and vendor managers to review, identify, assess (legal and business liabilities/risks) and explain documentation within contractual agreements
  • Manage and train designated vendor managers on Enterprise policies and procedures related to all contracting between parties
  • Formulate new processes, policies and procedures related to contract management as needed
  • Operate within TASC’s guidelines pursuant to the Employee Handbook and all Policies and Procedures
  • Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisor and/or Management
