About The Position

CAA-Québec is looking for a Project Controller (PCO) to join its corporate project office. As a Project Controller, you will be a key player in the project office, collaborating closely with the Senior Director to ensure the rigor, monitoring, and control of the portfolio's projects. Your role will be to support project managers in the effective management of their initiatives and to ensure adherence to the established methodology. Through your transversal function, you will become the project office's point of contact for control, coordination, and quality of project-related information. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with a hybrid remote work arrangement, requiring two days per week at our Montreal office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or another relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project controller in large organizations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project or similar).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 Suite (Teams, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) with advanced Excel expertise.
  • Autonomy and initiative.
  • Meticulousness and rigor: high precision in handling numbers.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for management.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the Workday Project module.
  • Knowledge of project management (CAPM an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers in planning, monitoring, and applying project office best practices.
  • Act as a methodological reference point.
  • Provide closer support to certain projects, particularly in tracking actions and preparing budget updates.
  • Ensure projects comply with project office standards, templates, and processes.
  • Contribute to change request management (documentation, traceability, communications).
  • Ensure control over portfolio reporting, both budgetarily and content-wise.
  • Ensure control over the project lifecycle, from opening to closing.
  • Monitor the project portfolio budget.
  • Create purchase orders, encode, and track project invoices.
  • Produce and analyze financial reports from the project module.
  • Proactively identify risks of budget overruns.
  • Pilot the Workday project module.
