About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician. The core hours are 7:00am to 3:45pm. The hourly rate for this position is $23.92 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience OR a degree in a technical discipline (any technical degree)
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience or training in basic Lean and Continuous Improvement tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Gemba, basic problem solving) and the ability to apply these tools in a manufacturing setting
  • Bilingual (Proficient in English/Spanish)

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, understanding basic CAD and drafting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the deployment and sustainment of a continuous improvement culture by assisting with CI training, onboarding, ECIS/Lean tools, CI events, and visual management.
  • Contributes to data driven decision-making through the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards.
  • Supports value stream engineers and tier meeting issue resolution.
  • Helps track and report monthly cost out savings from improvement projects while promoting standard work, best practices, and employee engagement in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support CI Culture and capability building by assisting CI training, onboarding support, ideas program tracking, 5s audits, Gemba's open items.
  • Assist in development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Power Bi Dashboards.
  • Plan and assist in Departments of CI Events and visit events.
  • Assist with ECIS /Lean tools deployment.
  • Assist with Visual Management and standard work, including posting metrics, updating boards, labeling, floor markings, and helping document best practices.
  • Support the Planning, coordination and execution of Continuous Improvement agenda, site visits, and CI-Related events.
  • Support to Value Stream Engineers (according to work plan).
  • Support driving resolution issues escalated at Tier Meetings.
  • Support Cost-Out activities by helping track, calculate, and report monthly savings from projects.
