About The Position

The Content Writer produces and localizes high-quality Portuguese content across CRM, SEO, social media, and other marketing channels. The role ensures content is culturally accurate, on-brand, and aligned with product and marketing objectives. Working with internal teams, the Content Writer communicates the brand’s voice to regional audiences with linguistic precision and consistency, delivering work reliably and on time.

The role involves adapting English and group content for Mozambique, proofreading and quality-checking content before publication, creating original marketing copy, and ensuring promotional content meets compliance requirements. The writer also collaborates with internal departments to provide accurate, current, and localized content.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Previous experience in content writing, copywriting, digital marketing, communications, or a similar role.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong grammar, proofreading, editing, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to write engaging content for different audiences and platforms.
• Good understanding of social media, digital marketing, and online advertising.
• Ability to research topics and turn information into clear and engaging content.
• Strong creativity and ability to develop new content ideas.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms, and basic digital marketing tools.
• Experience in iGaming or a similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Translate and adapt English and group content into Portuguese for the website, app, terms and conditions, bonus terms, banners, SMS, push notifications, email, and social media.
• Localize football references, currency, payment methods, and cultural context rather than translating word for word.
• Proofread and edit Mozambique content before publication for spelling, grammar, tone, accuracy, and consistency.
• Check amounts, odds, dates, and promotional terms.
• Maintain a Mozambique style guide and glossary of approved terms.
• Write original copy for campaigns, promotions, sports, match previews, and landing pages in line with the brand voice.
• Include required 18+ and Responsible Gaming messaging, avoid misleading claims or appeals to minors, and obtain compliance sign-off on promotional content.
• Work with Marketing, CRM, Customer Support, Product, and design teams to deliver content on time.
• Provide localized scripts and FAQs for the support team.
• Coordinate with Product, Customer Support, VIP, Payments, and other departments to ensure published information is accurate and up to date.
