About The Position
The Content Tutor for the Bill Battle Academic Center tutors/teaches course content. Guides students in meeting academic deadlines. Assists in the development of general study, planning, and time-management skills. Reviews, discusses, and explains course material in a clear, effective, and creative manner. Conducts test review sessions. Assists entering freshmen, continuing, and international students.
Requirements
- Current University of Alabama junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum 3.50 GPA
- Direct experience mentoring, tutoring, or teaching
- Sufficient academic knowledge of college undergraduate courses in one or more areas, including but not limited to Business (AC, EC, FI, MKT, MGT, OM, MIS), Computer Science, Engineering, English (composition & literature), Foreign Language, Humanities, Social Science, Math, and Natural Science
- Ability to work a minimum of 6 hours a week
