About The Position

The Content Producer creates, organizes, finishes, and publishes video and still photography for a group of related brands. The role is split between hands-on production—setting up shoots and capturing footage and candid images—and desk work editing, publishing, maintaining records, and preparing schedules and reports. The producer works on site for shoots in Los Angeles and from home when not shooting. The role reports to the marketing lead and works directly with the founder most weeks; discretion is important because the producer will encounter unpublished work and people on difficult days. Production responsibilities include setting up and striking repeatable two-camera interviews and conversations; capturing b-roll and candid stills; ingesting, naming, and backing up footage; operating video generation and editing tools and checking results against written quality standards; editing short-form pieces; handing off more complex edits with organized project files; and maintaining production equipment. Publishing responsibilities include posting finished content to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook in English and Spanish; tracking publishing and performance; responding to comments and messages in the commenter’s language according to written rules; maintaining accurate business profiles and listings; distributing the weekly newsletter as written across designated channels within an hour of receiving it; and preparing a weekly publishing schedule and numbers sheet for the marketing lead.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience shooting and cutting video for a brand, creator, or production company, with work samples such as interviews, b-roll, and short social cuts.
  • Ability to set up a clean two-camera interview alone in thirty minutes and match the setup of the previous shoot.
  • Strong attention to detail in file and record management, including naming, backing up, locating files, and completing the posting record on the day of publication.
  • Working fluency with current editing software and AI image and video generation tools, and judgment to evaluate generated output against a standard.
  • Ability to write clear captions in English.
  • Ability to understand comment threads and identify when humor is involved or when a person should take over the conversation.
  • Ability to move another person’s words through multiple channels without changing them.
  • Comfort working half the week on one’s feet and half at a desk in Los Angeles, with some scheduling shaped by the founder.
  • Discretion when handling unpublished work and interacting with people on difficult days.
  • Commitment to working hard and doing the right thing.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish language ability; bilingual English-Spanish ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and strike simple two-camera interview and conversation shoots using shot lists, with consistent camera, lighting, and sound.
  • Shoot b-roll and candid stills of the founder, team, and work locations; do not stage candid material.
  • Ingest, name, and back up footage on the day it is shot using the provided folder structure.
  • Operate video generation and editing tools, review output against written quality standards, and reject and rerun work that fails.
  • Edit cutdowns, social cuts, and screen recordings with voice-over; hand off longer or more difficult edits with clean, organized project files.
  • Keep production equipment ready, including batteries, cards, backups, and the gear list.
  • Publish finished content to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook on schedule, with separate English and Spanish posts and appropriate titles, captions, and links.
  • Record what was published, where and when it ran, and its performance at set intervals.
  • Answer comments and messages on brand accounts in the commenter’s language, following written tone rules and escalation guidance.
  • Keep business profiles and listings accurate and current, including photos, review replies, questions, hours, and consistent location names, addresses, and phone numbers.
  • Distribute the weekly newsletter exactly as written to the mailing list, website, and social accounts within an hour of receiving it.
  • Prepare a weekly schedule of ready-to-publish content and a weekly numbers sheet for the marketing lead.
