About The Position

Harbinger is seeking a Content & Organic Growth Manager to own the editorial strategy and execution for their commercial electric vehicle (EV) company. This role involves making Harbinger easier to understand, trust, and discover across various search and discovery platforms. The manager will define the content strategy, interview subject-matter experts, write and edit copy, manage traditional SEO, pioneer approaches to answer-engine and generative-engine optimization (AEO/GEO), and measure the impact on qualified demand and pipeline. This is a hands-on role for a writer, strategist, and SEO/GEO operator who can leverage AI to maintain quality and speed.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years in content marketing, editorial, copywriting, SEO, or organic growth in B2B technology or another complex-product category
  • An excellent writing and editing portfolio showing clarity, range, and the ability to explain technical subjects
  • Hands-on experience with keyword/topic research, content briefs, on-page SEO, internal linking, and performance reporting
  • Working understanding of technical SEO and the ability to partner effectively with web developers or specialists
  • Practical familiarity with AEO/GEO and AI-search measurement — curiosity and discipline matter more than a mature playbook
  • Fluency with tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, a CMS, and emerging AI-visibility platforms
  • Fluency using modern AI tools for research, drafting, and repurposing
  • Based in or able to relocate to the Garden Grove, CA area for on-site work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive, EV, fleet, transportation, industrial technology, or manufacturing
  • Experience with customer research, case studies, original data, or executive thought leadership
  • Social and community management experience, and the ability to direct photo, video, and motion-graphics creatives
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, structured data, and a modern CMS (Webflow or similar)
  • Experience managing freelance writers, agencies, designers, or video partners

Responsibilities

  • Build an editorial roadmap based on customer questions, product priorities, search demand, category narratives, sales insight, and business goals.
  • Create clear, differentiated content across web pages, articles, case studies, guides, email, executive thought leadership, sales materials, social copy, ads, and video scripts.
  • Interview customers, executives, engineers, product, and sales; turn technical knowledge into credible, useful stories.
  • Own keyword and topic research, search intent, content briefs, on-page optimization, internal linking, content refreshes, and metadata for medium-duty EV, fleet electrification, TCO, and incentive terms.
  • Work with Web, Engineering, and agencies on technical SEO aspects like crawlability, indexation, page performance, schema and structured data, redirects, canonicalization, and sitemaps.
  • Develop a practical approach to visibility in AI-powered search and answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) through citation-worthy content, entity clarity, structured facts, expert sourcing, third-party authority, and ongoing query monitoring.
  • Own the content calendar, briefs, workflow, approvals, CMS publishing, quality standards, content inventory, and selective use of contractors or agencies.
  • Partner with in-house creative teams to turn stories into visual content, and own day-to-day social and community management.
  • Use AI for research, drafting, and repurposing at scale while maintaining original thinking, factual accuracy, brand voice, and human editorial judgment.
  • Partner with Growth, Product Marketing, Comms, Lifecycle, Sales, and Partnerships to extend each asset across channels and audiences.
  • Ladder all content to Harbinger's positioning — 'Familiar Form. Revolutionary Foundation.' — and reinforce market perceptions.
  • Report on qualified organic traffic, non-brand visibility, AI citations/share of voice, conversions, and content-assisted pipeline; use findings to improve the roadmap.
