This role is responsible for creating compelling content across various channels, translating roadmap updates, feature releases, and product milestones into engaging narratives. This is not a strategy role, but rather an execution-focused position for someone who thrives on creating impactful content.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, product marketing, or brand content roles.
  • A portfolio demonstrating genuine creative range and experience creating standout product-focused content.
  • Demonstrable experience creating product-focused content that goes beyond the obvious.
  • Experience briefing and managing external creative and video production resources.
  • Outstanding writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex product information.
  • Social-first thinking, instinctively considering platform, format, and hook.
  • Strong creative judgment, with the ability to clearly brief and push back on output.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, capable of managing multiple product moments simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working directly with product teams, extracting information, and translating it into content.
  • Ability to attach product content to revenue.
  • A maker's mindset, focused on producing content rather than just presentations.
  • Ability to move fast and ship things, prioritizing 'done and excellent' over 'perfect and late'.
  • Genuine curiosity about the product and industry.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Embraces AI as a tool for faster, more creative work.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in B2B SaaS is preferred, but creative instinct and execution quality are prioritized over sector experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the creation of all product-focused marketing content, including feature releases, product updates, roadmap moments, and milestone announcements.
  • Craft compelling narratives around product news that highlight customer angles, business impact, and storytelling potential.
  • Write and produce press releases, product launch communications, and update announcements in collaboration with the Product Marketing Director and product teams.
  • Attend product team meetings to stay informed about development and ensure every release has a content plan.
  • Think social-first for all product content, considering platform, format, and hook for channels like LinkedIn and Reels.
  • Develop creative formats and content series to make product features engaging and relevant.
  • Experiment with various content formats (short-form video, carousels, text posts, behind-the-scenes, customer spotlights) to find what resonates.
  • Brief and direct video agencies and creative resources for content production.
  • Conceptualize, brief, produce, review, and publish product content end-to-end.
  • Leverage AI-enabled content operations to produce content at pace and scale, using AI as a creative accelerator.
  • Adopt an AI-native mindset, exploring automation and smart tooling for content creation.
  • Identify opportunities to activate customers as content creators and build programs for authentic customer stories.
  • Work with customer marketing to surface and amplify user-generated content (UGC).
  • Ensure product content is adapted and optimized for all relevant channels, including social, in-app, newsletters, website, sales enablement, and partner communications.
  • Collaborate with content and growth teams to integrate product stories into campaigns and content calendars.
  • Maintain a regular cadence of product content to reflect the fast pace of product development.
