About The Position
Shamrock Roofing and Construction is hiring a part-time Content Creator focused on video and social media. The role is based at the company’s Overland Park office and active job sites around the metro. The creator will film roofing crews and projects, then edit and publish short-form content. This is a hands-on creative role that includes time in the field as well as in the office. The schedule is 25–30 hours per week and is flexible around the employee’s schedule. Pay is $20–$25 per hour, depending on qualifications. Reliable transportation is needed. The company conducts a background check, including criminal history and Motor Vehicle Record reviews; offers are contingent on successful screening and meeting company driving standards.
Requirements
- Provide a portfolio or reel showing video personally shot and edited; this is required.
- Demonstrate editing ability and proficiency with an editing tool such as Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, or Final Cut.
- Be able to attend a job site with a phone or camera and produce good content without a creative brief.
- Be comfortable around tradespeople, crews, and homeowners.
- Be reliable with deadlines.
- Have reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Drone experience or a Part 107 certificate.
- Graphic design skills for social media.
- Be a film, media, or communications student or recent graduate.
Responsibilities
- Visit active job sites to film crews working, roof tear-offs, storm damage, finished roofs, and customer reactions.
- Edit footage into finished short-form videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Build and maintain the weekly content calendar.
- Capture photo and video libraries for reuse in advertising and on the website.
