About The Position

Proximity Foundation runs structured coding education programs for young people aged 14–18 at Community Care Institutions (CCIs). Its computer-based LMS curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, with volunteer mentors supporting students through cohort-based sessions. The foundation is scaling its program within Mumbai and building the operational team to support that growth. The volunteer Content Creator supports Proximity Foundation’s content work by creating on-brand digital materials, including social media posts, impact stories, graphics, and program updates. This content supports the Communications & Outreach team’s recruitment and visibility goals as well as the Partnership & Engagement team’s donor and partner engagement needs. The role is listed as a volunteer position without pay, with a time commitment of 2–3 hours per week, and reports to the Communication & Outreach Lead. Content must be submitted to the Communication & Outreach Lead for review before publishing or sharing. The volunteer incorporates feedback, maintains an organized shared content library for the Communications and Partnerships teams, follows the agreed content calendar and deadlines, and provides a weekly update. The role involves creating and scheduling content, coordinating with the Partnerships Lead about upcoming material needs, and reviewing work from other Content Creators on the team.
