About The Position

Planet 13 is seeking a Part-Time Consumption Lounge Host/Hostess with open availability to join their team. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing wait times, and escorting them to lounge seating and bar areas to ensure a positive lounge experience. This role requires strong organizational and people skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain knowledge of the lounge menu and products. You will also be responsible for adhering to state regulations regarding lounge sales and consumption, ensuring cleanliness, and verifying guest identification and sobriety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must possess a Nevada Consumption Lounge Agent work card and be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a Nevada Food Handler Safety Card.
  • Must complete OSHA 10 Industry Training within 6 months of hire (company paid).

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests in a friendly welcoming manner.
  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor reservations lists.
  • Cultivate an outstanding customer service experience for guests.
  • Maintain good physical condition to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the lounge menu and various offered products.
  • Adhere to all state regulations related to lounge sales and consumption.
  • Address guest inquiries regarding merchandise prices and usage.
  • Ensure cleanliness of shelves, counters, and tables.
  • Follow state and local laws/regulations concerning identification, sobriety, and check-in procedures.
  • Assess the sobriety/intoxication levels of guests seeking entry, denying access to intoxicated individuals.
  • Seats walk-in guests and reservations through the lounge table management system.
  • Checks and verifies IDs of all guests who enter the lounge.
  • Encourage walk-in traffic within the facility to enter the lounge.
  • Perform daily opening and/or closing procedures.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Assist with the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
