About The Position

The Consumer Relationship Manager works exclusively with Retail Finance deals, serving numerous Retail Finance dealers through face-to-face, telephone, and written communication. The role makes Retail Finance Program credit decisions in accordance with the Bank’s quality and profitability standards, promotes customer relations, develops quality new business including profitable depository accounts, and is accountable for sound credit decisions and the terms extended. The position also manages other credit analysts.

The incumbent is trained in Retail Finance credit decisions, compliance, administrative functions, relationship development, and building the Retail Finance Program. Administrative responsibilities include contract maintenance, credit decisions, loan worksheets, and dealer files. The position operates within Bank policies, procedures, and lending limits; actively supports the Customer Service First sales and service culture; and follows established company policies and procedures. The role reports to the Executive Vice President – Consumer Lending Manager and may receive guidance from the SVP of Consumer Loans. Office location: Houston, Texas.

Requirements

• A degree in accounting, business, or finance is required.
• Normally requires a minimum of 4 years of banking experience.
• Thorough working knowledge and use of credit analysis and loan documentation.
• Knowledge of bank operations and business development skills.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Seasoned experience in consumer and retail lending, marketing, and management.

Responsibilities

• Make all types of Retail Finance Program credit decisions consistent with the Bank’s quality and profitability standards.
• Promote good customer relations.
• Seek and develop quality new business, including profitable depository accounts.
• Make sound decisions to extend or deny credit to customers seeking direct or indirect loans, and be accountable for the terms extended.
• Manage other credit analysts and be accountable for the terms of credit extended.
• Perform Retail Finance administrative functions, including contract maintenance, credit decisions, loan worksheets, and dealer files.
• Establish new relationships and help build the Retail Finance Program.
• Actively participate in the Customer Service First sales and service culture, support organizational values, and follow established policies and procedures.
