About The Position

The Consumer Lending Operations Specialist supports and funds consumer lending products, including auto lending and unsecured lending. Comprehensive knowledge and experience of auto lending is required. The role performs a variety of operational duties in support of the consumer lending business and may require overtime and some Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in auto loan funding.
• Applied knowledge of loan funding fundamentals and standard industry practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, including the ability to identify problems in a loan.
• Strong math skills and computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to perform multiple functions throughout the day as needed.
• Ability to work well within a team in a production environment with service-level standards.
• Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in other consumer lending products, such as unsecured lending or credit cards.

Responsibilities

• Review and fund consumer automobile loan applications in accordance with credit decisions, approved guidelines, and policy constraints while meeting service-level agreements.
• Prepare required write-ups, as applicable, and complete due diligence and background evaluation before loan funding.
• Communicate with appropriate parties to satisfy conditions and provide strong internal and external customer service.
• Review and evaluate all loan-file documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Contribute to operational efficiencies and meet or exceed key performance indicators in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Prepare and complete journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure applications and loans meet regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business and company needs.
