About The Position

Nu is seeking an experienced consumer compliance professional to lead product compliance advisory engagements and internal compliance testing and monitoring across its US consumer banking products, including deposits, credit cards, and personal loans. The role is an individual-contributor position at manager level and reports to the US Head of Compliance. It will independently assess complex regulatory questions, influence product and operational decisions, and lead compliance reviews from planning through reporting and remediation validation. The role also contributes to policy development, compliance risk reporting, and advice on regulatory issues. As a primary compliance advisor, the role partners with Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and other teams throughout the product lifecycle. It interprets applicable federal and state consumer financial protection requirements and translates them into practical product requirements, controls, and business guidance. It also develops and executes risk-based testing and monitoring, evaluates control design and effectiveness, documents findings, and tracks and validates corrective actions. The position contributes to consumer compliance policies and standards, compliance risk assessments, and management reporting. Success requires sound regulatory judgment, practical control-evaluation experience, clear communication, and the ability to establish processes, manage competing priorities, and drive work to completion in an evolving, highly regulated business. The role is based in Miami, Florida, with a hybrid/on-site work model and an office requirement of two days per week. Nu’s Global Compliance function is the Second Line of Defense. The role is described as pivotal as Nubank has received conditional approval for a US National Bank Charter.
