About The Position

Nu is seeking an experienced consumer compliance professional to lead product compliance advisory engagements and internal compliance testing and monitoring across its US consumer banking products, including deposits, credit cards, and personal loans. The position is a manager-level individual contributor reporting to the Head of US Compliance. The role independently assesses complex regulatory questions, influences product and operational decisions, and leads compliance reviews from planning through reporting and remediation validation. It also contributes to policy development, compliance risk reporting, and advice on regulatory issues. As a primary compliance advisor, the role partners with Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and other business teams throughout the product lifecycle. It interprets federal and state consumer financial protection requirements and turns them into practical product requirements, controls, and business guidance. The position reviews products, features, customer journeys, disclosures, marketing materials, and operational processes; evaluates changes and regulatory developments; and provides effective challenge and escalation when needed. The role develops and executes risk-based compliance testing and monitoring, leading reviews from scoping through completion. It evaluates control design and operating effectiveness, customer outcomes, and business practices; documents evidence-based findings and recommendations; maintains monitoring indicators; and evaluates and validates remediation. It also drafts and updates consumer compliance policies and standards, contributes to risk assessments and management reporting, and advises on issue assessment, root cause, customer impact, and corrective action. The position is based in Miami, Florida, with a hybrid work model requiring office attendance at least twice a week, on strategic days designed to support team connection and collaboration.
