About The Position

World Wide Technology is hiring a Consulting Solutions Architect to provide AI Data Center technical solutions to customers and internal organizations. The role is part of the North Central Region Global Enterprise Sales team and provides technical pre-sales support in areas including data center solutions, network and cloud security, hybrid infrastructure, and secure architecture. The position works with Client Managers, strategic customers, customer teams, internal teams, marketing, vendors, and account teams to develop solutions and support customers’ business objectives.

The role focuses on data protection architecture and secure data lifecycle management, including backup, disaster recovery, encryption, governance, and compliance. The architect also evaluates data protection technologies, supports proof-of-concept and customer engagement activities, enables sales teams, contributes to technology market insights, and participates in thought leadership and Advanced Technology Center lab development. Candidates must live in or near Dallas or Houston, Texas, and be able to travel up to 40%.

Requirements

• Must live in or be located near Dallas or Houston, Texas.
• Enterprise-scale technical experience with data center solutions, network security, cloud security, secure hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and technology management.
• Proficiency in disaster recovery and cyber recovery planning and technologies.
• Technical aptitude and experience learning new cloud security technologies and understanding relevant cloud security market trends.
• Knowledge of data protection platforms and the competitive landscape.
• Understanding of partner ecosystems and ability to leverage partner solutions to meet customer needs.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.
• Knowledge of information security standards such as NIST, PCI, and HIPAA.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA, and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide AI Data Center technical solutions to customers and internal organizations.
• Engage with strategic customer relationships and collaborate with customer and internal teams to achieve customer business objectives.
• Help customers overcome challenges and drive secure outcomes using modern approaches to risk and compliance.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data protection architecture, including backup, disaster recovery, and encryption frameworks.
• Design and implement secure data lifecycle management processes, from data creation through deletion.
• Provide data governance solutions aligned with business objectives and compliance standards.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentorship to peers as required.
• Simplify messaging and assist with vendor enablement for field sales teams.
• Create functional multi-vendor architectures and solutions.
• Participate in thought leadership activities, including event speaking, blog posts, podcasts, and conference attendance.
• Help create proposals and presentations in alignment with account teams and vendors.
• Learn, understand, and communicate WWT’s differentiators.
• Familiarize WWT account teams with data protection solutions and provide regular practice messaging updates.
• Participate in the design and buildout of labs in the Advanced Technology Center.
• Define proof-of-concept and customer engagement guidelines.
• Evaluate and recommend data protection tools and technologies, such as DLP, DRM, CASB, and secure file-sharing systems.
• Collaborate with marketing and other teams to develop market data and understand technology trends and their impact on WWT and customers.
