About The Position
The University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry in Omaha, NE is looking for a Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist to join our dynamic faculty team. This position offers a rewarding blend of clinical practice, teaching, and the opportunity to engage with a diverse patient population, while contributing to the development of future healthcare providers. With 41 dedicated faculty members, our department co-administers a fully accredited residency program in general psychiatry and post-doctoral fellowship programs in addiction medicine and forensic psychiatry.
Requirements
- M.D.
- Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.
Nice To Haves
- Fellowship training and/or board certification/eligibility for consultation-liaison psychiatry or addiction psychiatry.
Responsibilities
- Providing inpatient psychiatric consultation services to hospitalized patients.
- Engaging with a diverse patient population.
- Contributing to the development of future healthcare providers.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Participating in departmental committees.
- Contributing to the creation of innovative clinical programs, particularly in integrated collaborative care.
