About The Position

Future Today Strategy Group (FTSG) is seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to work with client teams and senior firm leadership on complex, ambiguous strategic challenges. The role involves researching emerging developments and client issues, synthesizing evidence into insights and recommendations, and producing polished presentations, memos, frameworks, and models. The consultant will also contribute to client discussions, working sessions, and presentations, helping build trusted advisory relationships and shape long-term choices that create near-term momentum. FTSG provides training in its proprietary foresight methodologies and tools; prior futurist or strategic foresight experience is not required. The title and scope will depend on experience and demonstrated capabilities. Consultants own assigned research, analysis, and deliverables with guidance from engagement leaders. Senior Consultants independently own workstreams, plan and coordinate work, lead relevant client discussions, review junior colleagues’ work, and provide guidance and feedback. This is a hybrid role based in New York City or Connecticut, with access to the Flatiron and West Hartford offices. Travel is approximately 20%, primarily in the United States, with possible travel to Latin America and/or Europe. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, able to travel internationally, and hold a valid passport. FTSG does not provide employment visa sponsorship.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create polished slide decks, strategic narratives, and clear recommendations.
  • Professional presence and client-facing experience, including leading meetings; Senior Consultant candidates should be comfortable leading workstream discussions and explaining recommendations.
  • Strong organization and delivery discipline, including managing competing priorities, maintaining attention to detail, and collaborating across a project team.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote, and Miro or Mural.
  • Practical proficiency with large language models, alongside strong independent research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills; ability to evaluate outputs, verify sources and claims, explain and defend recommendations, and remain accountable for work quality.
