As a Consultant within MNP’s Performance Improvement team, you will support client engagements focused on improving operational effectiveness, financial performance, and enterprise scalability. You will work closely with Senior Consultants, Managers, and Partners while developing the skills required to become a trusted advisor to client management teams over time. This role is ideal for consultants with early advisory experience who are eager to build broad, cross-functional exposure across manufacturing, sales, logistics, finance, supply chain, and planning, while continuing to deepen their expertise through structured project work, coaching, and internal training. Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in a consulting, advisory, or related client-facing role
  • Interest in developing a broad, enterprise-wide understanding of how core business functions interact
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, operations management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and translate analysis into insights
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and learning through hands-on experience
  • Flexibility to work at client sites on a project basis, primarily within Ontario, with occasional travel across Canada as required
  • Ability to travel to client locations that may not be accessible by public transit

  • Exposure to one or more of the following functional areas is considered an asset: Manufacturing / Operations, Construction Operations, Sales and Commercial Effectiveness, Logistics and Distribution, Finance and Management Reporting, Supply Chain and Inventory Management, Planning, Forecasting, and S&OP
  • Master’s degree considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation projects by executing assigned workstreams with accuracy, consistency, and a strong attention to deliverable quality
  • Contribute to the development of workplans, status reports, process documentation, and client presentations under the guidance of a senior consultant or manager
  • Track engagement progress, flag risks, and maintain organized records of key decisions, actions, and outputs
  • Support current-state operational assessments across target industries, mapping workflows, gathering data, and documenting findings across functions such as Production Planning, Project Controls, Procurement, Fulfillment, and Cost Accounting
  • Assist in identifying process gaps, performance variances, and improvement opportunities, connecting operational findings to their financial impact
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of process improvements, SOPs, and operational workflows that clients can execute and sustain independently
  • Engage across a range of client situations: organizations scaling for growth, businesses requiring operational recovery, and those seeking greater efficiency and reliability
  • Support the implementation of operational and financial systems across any ERP, inventory, job costing, or accounting platform, learning and applying each system based on underlying process logic
  • Build and maintain Excel-based operational tools and Power BI reports that consolidate data from multiple systems into clear, actionable management reporting
  • Assist in vendor coordination activities and help document system requirements, configuration decisions, and go-live management
  • Support the execution of change management activities including stakeholder communication, end-user training, and adoption tracking
  • Engage directly with client teams in a professional and credible manner, building working relationships and contributing to a positive client experience
  • Identify adoption challenges and escalate observations and recommendations to senior team members proactively
  • Build trusted relationships with owner-operators and senior leadership, positioning yourself as an advisor who delivers, not just recommends
  • Navigate ambiguity confidently, framing clear options and guiding clients through decisions that are often without precedent in their organization
