Construction Worker

Dean Snyder Construction Co•Clear Lake, IA

About The Position

The Construction Worker performs a wide variety of construction activities requiring varied experience and skill in one trade area, dexterous use of hands and tools, and the ability to work without close supervision. The role may assist Skilled Construction Workers with concrete, steel, or carpentry work. It is the second level of an eight-level construction series. Unlike a Laborer, this role requires the skill to perform craftwork in one particular area, such as carpentry, concrete, or structural steel. Unlike a Skilled Construction Worker, it does not require the higher skill level and broader knowledge needed to perform tasks in two or more specialized areas. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work may include concrete, carpentry, structural steel, installation, site preparation, scaffolding, surface treatment, grinding, and demolition tasks. The worker follows company policies and processes regarding personal protective equipment, adheres to safety and incident-reporting procedures, and brings problems to the attention of the Superintendent, Field Safety Coordinator, or HR Manager. Additional duties may be assigned to support project and organizational success.
