About The Position

The Ascendancy Group is seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician to ensure the security of sensitive construction sites. This role involves monitoring personnel, materials, and activities to prevent unauthorized access or the introduction of prohibited items. The technician will protect classified spaces during construction by providing continuous oversight and enforcing all security standards. This position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start date of June 1, 2026. A current, active US TOP-SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Requirements

  • Possess current, active US TOP-SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Possess at least five (5) years of construction experience. Security experience may supplement up to two (2) years of construction experience if the security experience is directly related to DoD SCIF construction or physical security.
  • Possess High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Possess a valid certificate for the successful completion of a Forty (40) Hour or greater CST training course.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, bend, walk, kneel, and other related physical activities for long periods of time.
  • Possess working knowledge of the ICD/ICS-705 Tech Specs (version 26 July 2021) as demonstrated by experience gained from working on multiple ICD-705 projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the activities of all construction workers and personnel inside the Secure Construction Site at all times and ensure work is accomplished in accordance with the Construction Security Plan (CSP).
  • Provide daily report to the government documenting construction activities occurring that day for security items necessary to comply with the requirements.
  • By close of business of each Monday provide a written summary of the previous week’s work performed along with photo documentation as required in the Construction Security Plan (CSP).
  • Document all security violations or deviations from the CSP that occur on the Secure Construction, notify the Site Security Manager (SSM) immediately, and annotate the incident in the daily and weekly reports.
  • Ensure procedures to control site access are implemented.
  • Implement procedures to deny unauthorized site access.
  • Conduct security inspections of construction materials delivered, finished and unfinished construction work, personnel, and construction worker personal items.
  • Identify and document anomalies and variances in finished construction work against the official project construction plans.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures of the Secure Construction Site each day as directed by the SSO or SSM.
