This position is located within Northern Virginia. The Construction Surveillance Technician will observe, inspect, and report on construction site work to ensure the integrity of the technical and physical security of multiple sites. This role involves evaluating and developing physical, personnel, and technical security practices/procedures for various levels of defense-in-depth security postures. The technician will produce written reports or documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tablet delivery systems to report on activities/processes, investigations/anomalies/deficiencies, incidents, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 standards on a weekly basis. Responsibilities include identifying unauthorized materials through physical and personnel searches, and the use of technological tools. The technician will evaluate methods used to place technical penetrations or unauthorized materials by utilizing surveillance techniques, observing and reporting. Proficient operation of technical security devices, systems, and other monitoring devices is required for both individual and team-based missions in OCONUS and CONUS environments. A key aspect of the role is the fortitude to report suspicious behavior, security infractions, and correlations between site blueprints and ICD 705 standards to highlight anomalous behavior.
