About The Position

The Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) I provides day-to-day security for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. This role involves oversight of a facility, performing functions such as access control and surveillance. Experience in access control and security guard roles is helpful, but this position is more comprehensive. Training in ICD-705 is preferred, but the company can train individuals with the minimum foundation. A rudimentary understanding of construction and the ability to read blueprints and schematics are expected. The work is performed on-site in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and is a full-time position with no per diem or travel costs provided. The role requires an active SECRET security clearance to start, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret SCI + Polygraph.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years of related experience.
  • Active (in scope) SECRET security clearance.
  • Willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
  • Understanding of construction.
  • Rudimentary understanding/ability to read blueprints, schematics, etc..
  • Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.
  • Provide oversight of a facility, performing access control or surveillance functions.
  • Assess, identify, and communicate recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
  • Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
  • Draft security incident reports and brief government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
  • Manage uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assign, train, brief site security duties and ensure timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
  • Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
  • Conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
  • Photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
