About The Position

Construction Surveillance Technician’s primary function is to provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. If you have experience providing oversight of a facility, performing things such as access control or surveillance functions, this job may be a match for you. A CST's role has many similar job functions and experience in the access control and security guard roles are helpful in a CST role, however it is more than that. Training in ICD-705 is preferred but we can train right individuals that have the minimum foundation to perform this role. (at minimum, in lieu of ICD-705, individuals are expected to have understanding of construction and rudimentary understanding/ability to read blueprints, schematics, etc..). Additionally, you must have at least an active (in scope) SECRET security clearance to qualify. Work is on site in Cheyenne Wyoming. This is not a position that pays per diem and/or travel costs. You'd relocate to Cheyenne for a full time position.

Requirements

  • At least an active (in scope) SECRET security clearance to qualify.
  • Understanding of construction and rudimentary understanding/ability to read blueprints, schematics, etc..
  • 1+ years related experience
  • Must have a Secret clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
  • Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Training in ICD-705 is preferred
  • Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, identifies and communications recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
  • Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
  • Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
  • Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
  • Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative
  • Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
  • Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
