About The Position

At MasTec Communications Group, the Construction Supervisor supports all phases of utility construction for various types of telecommunications projects. The role leads and develops construction crews working on aerial and underground telecom construction, helps ensure safe and high-quality project delivery, and provides customer service while coordinating multiple crews and job-site activities.

Requirements

• Experience as a leader supporting the day-to-day needs of a construction crew.
• Knowledge of the telecommunications construction industry, including coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, and map reading.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn custom software.
• Valid driver’s license; applicants are subject to a Motor Vehicle Record review and must meet company standards for a safe driving record.
• Commitment to safety and a track record of completing work to a high level of quality.
• Hands-on approach to work and ability to solve difficult problems.

Nice To Haves

• MOS Codes 12H, 12N, 25W, 91X, 2549, or 2591 relate well to this position.
• Interest in long-term projects and hands-on teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop the team’s skills and knowledge of aerial and underground telecom construction.

• Drive the team to meet deadlines and produce quality projects.
• Provide a high level of customer service when interfacing with customers.
• Give direction to multiple crews and their job-site activities.
• Coach and mentor team members and support the day-to-day needs of a construction crew.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
