About The Position

At MasTec Communications Group, the Telecom Construction Supervisor supports all phases of utility construction for various types of telecommunications projects. The supervisor develops the team’s skills and knowledge of aerial and underground telecom construction, leads by example in support of the company-wide safety culture, and drives crews to meet deadlines and deliver quality projects. The role also provides customer service when interfacing with customers and gives direction to multiple crews and their job-site activities.

The position is suited to an experienced, hands-on construction leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring a crew, troubleshooting field problems, and working on long-term projects. Compensation is $65,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Experienced leader who has supported the day-to-day needs of a construction crew.
• Knowledge of the telecom construction industry, including coax splicing, fiber splicing, directional drilling, and map reading.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn custom software.
• Safety-minded approach to work.
• Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Ability to figure out difficult problems and take a hands-on approach to work.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field.
