About The Position

General Construction Contractors Inc is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead multifamily housing construction projects in the San Jose, California area. The role oversees job-site operations, crews, subcontractors, safety, quality, scheduling, materials, and project documentation, while coordinating with project managers, supervisors, office staff, and other stakeholders. Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role.
Strong knowledge of commercial, residential, and/or multifamily construction methods and best practices.
Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trade crews simultaneously.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and job-site compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily on-site construction operations to help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with the Project Manager and supervise subcontractors, laborers, and trade crews throughout project phases.
Enforce safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to support accurate field execution.
Conduct site inspections and quality-control checks.
Communicate project progress, issues, and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Manage material deliveries, equipment scheduling, and site logistics.
Document daily job-site activities and prepare weekly reports, including photos of completed work each day.
Coordinate with the Supervisor to review project progress.
Attend meetings through Teams.
Coordinate with office staff.
