About The Position

CAFCO Group seeks a skilled Scheduler to support New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) capital construction programs. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules for new construction, rehabilitation, and addition projects across New York City public schools, utilizing Primavera P6/Expedition software and applying advanced scheduling methodologies including Critical Path Method (CPM).

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Services, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of minimum experience in the scheduling of construction projects, including new construction, rehabilitation, and additions
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Primavera Expedition scheduling software
  • Experience in developing logical sequencing of work, contract durations, and phasing plans
  • Experience in the review and analysis of claims, time extensions, and their impact on project costs
  • Knowledge of new and renovation type construction
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop logical sequencing of work, contract durations, and project phasing for SCA capital construction projects
  • Fully utilize Primavera P6 and/or Primavera Expedition to create, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules
  • Prepare baseline schedules, progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and schedule recovery plans
  • Review and analyze contractor-submitted schedules for accuracy, logic, and compliance with contract requirements
  • Review and analyze claims, time extension requests, and their impact on project costs and milestones
  • Monitor and report on schedule performance, critical path, float, and milestone compliance
  • Coordinate with Project Officers, contractors, consultants, and SCA management on schedule-related matters
  • Experience in new construction, rehabilitation, and addition project types
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned
