As a Business Development & Estimating Representative, you will work directly with contractors, project managers, facility owners, industrial clients, and operations leaders to develop solutions involving crane services, steel erection, rigging, transportation, and specialty construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the business and technical sides of construction. You'll have the opportunity to build long-term customer relationships, develop project estimates, support project planning, and contribute directly to company growth. This is not a transactional sales position. Success requires the ability to understand customer needs, develop practical solutions, and become a trusted partner who helps clients execute projects safely, efficiently, and successfully. Requirements

  • Experience in construction sales, business development, estimating, project coordination, account management, or related industry roles
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in crane services, steel erection, rigging, transportation, industrial construction, heavy equipment, or specialty contracting
  • Experience preparing estimates, bids, or construction proposals
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and construction management software
  • Existing relationships within the Georgia construction market
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, owners, industrial clients, and other key customers
  • Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities throughout the market
  • Review project requirements and develop estimates, proposals, and pricing recommendations
  • Conduct customer meetings, jobsite visits, and project reviews
  • Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Support customers from initial inquiry through project completion
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and customer network
  • Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for growth
  • Represent Heaton Erecting and The Superior Family of Companies with professionalism and integrity
