About The Position

As a full-time Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for increasing market share within an assigned geographical territory by cultivating new customers and nurturing relationships with existing ones. This role is challenging yet rewarding, operating within a team environment focused on delivering high-quality buildings with superior warranties. Successful candidates are career-minded, organized, hyper-focused, and adept at using technology to manage complex projects from pre-sale through completion. Approximately 70% of the role involves pre-sale activities such as prospecting, lead generation, customer presentations, and solution development. The remaining 30% focuses on post-sale project management, including coordinating project details, communicating with internal teams, and supporting the build to completion. Morton Buildings provides structured, comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure long-term success. The ideal candidate must be willing to learn and adapt to industry changes and evolving market needs. The sales territory covers Tulsa, OK; Miami, OK; Fort Smith, AR; and Idabel, OK.

Requirements

  • 2 years sales or account management experience OR 5 years of construction management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Capability of maintaining an accurate and organized sales pipeline within Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Ability to develop and maintain an adequate sales funnel to sell at or above established sales budgets.
  • Aptitude to grow existing market share.
  • Be readily available during construction relative work hours.
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must reside within 30 miles of assigned territory within 30 days of hire date.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the constant changes of the construction industry and the evolving needs of multiple markets.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, construction, or project management preferred.
  • Minimal overnight travel required beyond initial training and onboarding period.

Responsibilities

  • Increase market share within an assigned geographical territory.
  • Cultivate new customers and develop relationships with long-standing customers.
  • Integrate various technologies into day-to-day activities to effectively manage complex projects throughout the construction process from pre-sale to completion.
  • Prospect, generate leads, conduct customer presentations, develop solutions, and guide customers through the early stages of the buying process (approximately 70% of the role).
  • Manage post-sale project details, ensuring a seamless customer experience by coordinating project details, communicating with internal teams, and supporting the build through to completion (approximately 30% of the role).
  • Develop and maintain an adequate sales funnel to sell at or above established sales budgets.
  • Grow existing market share.
  • Be readily available during construction relative work hours.
  • Coordinate all individuals involved in the building project, including MBI personnel.
  • Hire and manage subcontractors.
  • Navigate permitting requirements.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality.
