About The Position
The Construction Safety Officer promotes and ensures safe practices on construction sites. The role includes inspecting sites, identifying hazards, implementing safety protocols, and working with site management and project managers to integrate safety measures into project plans.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in conducting safety training and workshops.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety management.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in construction safety or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA or NEBOSH are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for all personnel.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports and incident logs.
- Provide guidance and support to site management regarding safety issues.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety measures are integrated into project plans.
