About The Position

This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight during the rebricking of a large industrial tank, a high-hazard activity requiring continuous monitoring and strict confined space compliance. The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while working directly with craft personnel, supervision, and project leadership to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe execution of confined space work, refractory removal and installation activities, material handling operations, and industrial maintenance work.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • Confined Space Experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
  • Working knowledge of Confined Space Entry Procedures
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Maintenance Safety
  • Working knowledge of Hole Watch Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of Permit Required Confined Spaces
  • Working knowledge of Industrial Tank and Vessel Work
  • Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
  • Working knowledge of Respiratory Protection Programs
  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
  • Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
  • Working knowledge of Construction and Industrial Risk Assessment

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Maintenance or Shutdown Experience
  • Refractory or Tank Maintenance Experience
  • Hole Watch or Confined Space Attendant Experience
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily field safety oversight during rebricking operations on a large industrial tank
  • Serve as hole watch and support confined space entry operations
  • Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
  • Monitor confined space activities, material handling operations, and contractor work practices
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
  • Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
  • Coordinate safety activities with project management and supervision
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Maintain required safety documentation, permits, inspection records, and compliance reports

Benefits

  • Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
