About The Position

Alliance Spine and Pain Centers is seeking eager and ready-to-learn Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) for its Carrollton location. The position does not require weekend or overnight work, and the CMA will never be on-call.

Requirements

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have at least 6 months of experience in a medical office.
Current Basic Life Support (CPR AED) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Pain management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor the schedule for patient arrivals.
Collect patients from the waiting room and escort them to a clinic room, preparing them for their scheduled appointment.
Document and maintain appropriate workflow in the patient's electronic medical records.
Merge the patient's chart, take vital signs, verify medications, and triage the patient for the provider.
Follow procedures for collecting, preparing, documenting, and shipping urine specimens to the laboratory.
Prepare prescriptions for provider signatures.
Complete the patient's chart and mark it as done by the end of the workday.
Initiate prior authorizations the day they are received and complete them within 72 hours.
Notify the patient and document the status of the prior authorization process.
Clean and sanitize clinic rooms at the end of the day.
Restock clinic rooms with appropriate supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned by healthcare providers, Charge Nurse, Clinic Lead, or Regional Administrator.
