About The Position

Join a contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Asheville, OH. Project scope includes site development, structural construction, MEP installation, interior buildout, and mission-critical infrastructure activities. The Construction Safety Coordinator will provide daily field safety oversight for subcontractors, craft personnel, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety requirements.

Requirements

OSHA 30 Construction Certification
Current CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
Experience conducting field audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments
Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
Ability to maintain a highly visible field presence on active construction sites
Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
Working knowledge of Data Center Construction Safety
Working knowledge of Commercial Construction Operations
Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
Working knowledge of Housekeeping & Site Logistics
Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
Working knowledge of Safety Audits & Compliance Inspections
Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Working knowledge of Multi-Employer Worksite Safety Coordination

Responsibilities

Provide daily field safety oversight for data center construction activities
Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
Monitor subcontractor work activities and ongoing construction operations
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
