About The Position
Join a contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Asheville, OH. Project scope includes site development, structural construction, MEP installation, interior buildout, and mission-critical infrastructure activities. The Construction Safety Coordinator will provide daily field safety oversight for subcontractors, craft personnel, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety requirements.
Requirements
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification
- Current CPR / First Aid / AED Certification
- Experience conducting field audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- Ability to maintain a highly visible field presence on active construction sites
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- Working knowledge of Data Center Construction Safety
- Working knowledge of Commercial Construction Operations
- Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
- Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
- Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
- Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
- Working knowledge of Housekeeping & Site Logistics
- Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
- Working knowledge of Safety Audits & Compliance Inspections
- Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Working knowledge of Multi-Employer Worksite Safety Coordination

- CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, STSC, or Other BCSP Credential

Responsibilities
- Provide daily field safety oversight for data center construction activities
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
- Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
- Monitor subcontractor work activities and ongoing construction operations
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
- Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
- Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
- Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
