About The Position

Join a concrete contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Sidney, OH. Project scope includes excavation, concrete footer installation, concrete formwork operations, reinforcing steel, and structural concrete construction. The Construction Safety Manager will provide hands-on field safety oversight for all concrete and excavation activities, working directly with craft personnel, foremen, superintendents, and project leadership to maintain compliance and ensure safe execution of work.

Requirements

• BCSP Certification Required (CHST, ASP, CSP, OHST, STSC, or Equivalent)
• OSHA 30 Construction Certification
• Current CPR / First Aid Certification
• Minimum 3+ Years of Construction Safety Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for excavation and concrete construction operations
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
• Monitor excavation activities, concrete footer installation, formwork operations, and reinforcing steel activities
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
• Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
