About The Position

CDM Smith is seeking a construction or engineering student intern to gain hands-on experience supporting public, federal, and industrial projects. The role is part of the construction management and engineering team and involves working alongside experienced professionals on field- and office-based project activities. The internship provides exposure to how projects progress from planning and documentation through construction in the field.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Support construction management teams with day-to-day project activities and coordination.
• Assist with construction inspections and field observations to help monitor project progress.
• Support construction managers with project documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Assist project engineers and project coordinators with documentation and general project support.
• Gain exposure to construction processes, project coordination, and engineering practices across a diverse range of projects.
