We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our Large Sports Venues department. Project Management is involved with the project at the stages of selling, approval, manufacturing, installation, and final payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and knowledge of Microsoft software.
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Travel, which may include evenings and weekends.
  • The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Sales support to include: Review Request for Proposals and Bid Document to develop a full understanding of the project requirements. Prepare scopes of work and obtain competitive installation subcontracting quotes. Prepare quotes and generate winning proposals with Project Team.
  • Project management of standard orders and custom projects, which include installation subcontracting: Evaluate and verify information on project-related forms. Communicate project details with all stakeholders. Manage orders through design and manufacturing. Select and manage subcontractors. Coordinate project schedule and responsibilities both internally and externally. Proactively seek opportunities to improve profits and negotiate change orders. Provide analysis of projects upon completion. Accountable for overall success of project managed, including overall project budget.
  • Travel to project job sites as required to effectively manage the project from order to customer acceptance. Estimate travel averages 10% - 20%, depending on business area.
  • Work effectively as a team member with little supervision and help when and where needed.
  • Share and implement suggestions for product and process improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with Sales, customers, and project team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer expectations.
