About The Position

Quanta South Region is looking for a blended Project Manager and Construction Manager for an on-site leadership role responsible for driving safe, efficient production across construction projects in West Texas. This position blends hands-on field leadership with project management discipline and is ideal for someone who understands how work gets built in the field while also recognizing the impact daily decisions have on cost, schedule, manpower, and overall project performance. This role will work closely with project leadership, superintendents, foremen, craft personnel, subcontractors, and customers to remove obstacles, maintain production momentum, and ensure project commitments are met. Candidates may come from a superintendent, foreman, senior craft, or project management background; the strongest fit will be someone comfortable moving between field execution and project-level planning and decision-making. This role will support project operations in West Texas.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
7+ years of progressive construction experience, including responsibility for field execution, crews, production, project coordination, or project management.
Demonstrated ability to understand and manage the relationship between field production, labor productivity, project schedule, manpower, and cost.
Strong construction planning, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both field personnel and project management teams.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, scopes of work, and other project documentation.
Ability to work on-site at project locations throughout West Texas and travel between project sites as business needs require.
Ability to work on project site, 75-100% of the time

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred. Significant field construction experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, Foreman, senior-level craft professional, Project Manager, or similar construction leadership role is highly valued.
Electrical construction experience is highly desirable; experience supporting data center, mission critical, or other large-scale technically complex construction projects is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day field execution with a strong focus on production, manpower utilization, schedule performance, safety, quality, and meeting project milestones.
Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, project managers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to establish daily and weekly priorities and keep crews productive.
Monitor project schedules, short-interval plans, look-ahead activities, labor productivity, and resource requirements; identify constraints and drive corrective action before they impact key milestones.
Maintain awareness of project costs, labor performance, budgets, forecasts, and changes in scope, partnering with project leadership to make informed operational decisions.
Walk the project regularly, engage directly with field leadership and craft personnel, verify work is progressing to plan, and quickly resolve issues affecting production.
Coordinate material, equipment, subcontractor, and workforce needs to ensure crews have the resources required to execute work safely and efficiently.
Communicate project status, risks, production challenges, and recovery plans to leadership while maintaining strong working relationships with customers and project partners.
