Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project, and the ability to become proficient in UDA Construction Online, BlueBeam, etc.
  • Self-motivated, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent follow-up skills, both internally and externally.
  • Basic knowledge and willingness to learn construction processes, mechanical concepts and contracts.
  • Team-oriented.
  • A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related is preferred but not required.
  • We value experience over credentials and greatly admire those who are self-taught.

Responsibilities

  • Supports consultant partnering through the Vision phase, including developing staging maps, documenting site and program conditions, and engaging consultants and trade partners.
  • Develops ROM budgets and completes associated value engineering.
  • Facilitates design review, materials selections and samples, and permitting coordination.
  • Prepare and maintain plan reproduction, estimating information, and bid packages, including trade partner invitations and RFP documents.
  • Maintain communication with trade partners and vendors throughout pricing; transmit addenda and bid information in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Project Manager in assembling complete bids and budgets by required deadlines, ensuring proper scope coverage and minimizing exclusions.
  • Review and qualify bid requirements, consult with trade partners on complex scopes, and perform comprehensive bid-day analysis.
  • Develop and maintain accurate material take-offs; document value-engineering ideas on every bid.
  • Enter and maintain client and project information in UDA Construction Suite and Construction Online.
  • Review drawings and job cost information with the management team; identify areas of concern and highlight outstanding trade partner or vendor awards.
  • Assemble and issue trade partner contracts; collect and manage required documentation (insurance, licensing, safety programs, invoicing procedures) prior to work start.
  • Maintain accurate budget and schedule information; provide updates to clients within five business days of any change and deliver weekly schedule updates to Project Managers.
  • Review, code, and approve trade partner invoices monthly against the current Schedule of Values.
  • Support field operations by expediting scheduling needs, materials, and paperwork; enforce safety program compliance and housekeeping standards.
  • Attend project meetings; maintain client relationships; and deliver complete project close-out documentation to clients.
