About The Position

Ironcore Construction is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join their growing team, focusing on multifamily construction. This role offers a direct involvement in the day-to-day execution of complex construction projects, providing hands-on experience and learning opportunities from experienced professionals. Requirements

  • Recent graduate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Basic understanding of contract documents and the RFI process.
  • Entry-level exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assignments.
  • Comfortable communicating and coordinating with subcontractors and project team members.
  • Initiative, dependability, and a willingness to learn.
  • Team-oriented mentality with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career in construction project management.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review subcontractor RFIs through Procore, determine if additional review is needed, submit and track RFIs through completion, and distribute completed RFIs.
  • Maintain current project plans and documents in Procore, update plan sets with revisions (ASIs, RFIs), and ensure the project team uses current construction documents.
  • Create and maintain the project submittal log, track subcontractor submittals and due dates, review and submit documentation for review, and coordinate/distribute approved documents.
  • Track required closeout documentation, coordinate O&M manuals, warranties, as-built drawings, and other closeout materials, and drive outstanding items to completion.
  • Assist with preparing project meeting agendas, attend meetings, prepare minutes, and track action items.
  • Maintain project information within Procore, update directories and project information, and ensure documentation accuracy and organization.
  • Work with subcontractors on SmartBarrel usage, assist with tracking compliance documentation, and follow up on missing information.
  • Create and track project punch-list items alongside the Superintendent and coordinate outstanding items to completion.
