About The Position

Oversee and support construction program development and implementation for all capital projects undertaken by Project Engineering and Execution Americas. In Project Engineering and Execution Americas, the Project Manager is accountable for the execution of all assigned projects. The department management team is responsible for supporting the project managers to achieve their project goals. The Program Manager, Construction, Project Execution forms a vital link in this chain by ensuring proper planning, staffing, and implementation of construction for capital projects.

Requirements

Degree or apprenticeship in appropriate field; degree in Construction Management preferred.
10 years construction related experience in the Chemical Process Industries or other relevant industry.
Experience with construction safety practices and procedures.
Understanding and experience with QA/QC theory and application.
Mastery of construction processes, systems, tools, and application.
Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of project and operations teams.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of large industrial gas operations preferred.

Drive a continuous improvement in Project Engineering and Execution for construction.
Develop, maintain, update, implement and staff the construction program for Capital Projects.
Recruit, train, schedule, and review outsource construction resources continuously to ensure projects are properly staffed.
Develop and improve standard practices for construction of plants.
Leverage knowledge of ASU and CO2 plants to ensure proper due diligence in construction prior to handover to commissioning for check out activities.
Support the Proposal team in the development of Project Definition and Execution Strategies as related to construction of plants/projects.
Participate in PSR4, PSR5 and PSSR processes as required.
Assist the Director, Large CAP Project Execution in identifying gaps in construction practices and processes.
Drive solutions and best practices.
Provide input and support the development of construction supervision training.
Conduct training as needed.
Develop, implement, and oversee QA/QC process as relates to construction of plants.
Oversee individual plant construction efforts (50% of time).
Other responsibilities as assigned.
