About The Position

Mobile Modular is seeking a Construction Production Supervisor to lead production teams and oversee construction operations, inventory coordination, vendor relationships, and project execution. The role involves reviewing technical documents, managing costs and progress, developing schedules and estimates, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This position requires close collaboration with various support teams to drive operational excellence, employee development, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. The supervisor will ensure quality, safety, code compliance, inventory accuracy, vendor performance, and team productivity, while fostering a culture of engagement and accountability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in construction, remodeling, renovation, repairs, or building modifications.
  • Knowledge of construction trades including carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
  • 3+ years of supervisory, management, or team leadership experience in a construction, production, or related environment.
  • Project management experience overseeing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience reading blueprints, schematics, work orders, work instructions, floor plans, and construction documents.
  • Experience implementing LEAN methodologies, process improvements, or efficiency initiatives.
  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and counsel other workers in a positive manner.
  • Track record of improving safety and safety procedures.
  • Excellent abilities to prioritize and adjust schedules and instill a sense of urgency in team members while managing multiple projects.
  • High-energy, can-do, get-results person with high integrity.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Outlook and Teams.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing teams of 4 or more employees.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC strongly preferred.
  • Forklift experience, particularly in industrial warehouse environments with use of large industrial equipment.
  • Experience working with vendor relationships, subcontractors, inventory management, logistics, or branch operations.
  • Understanding of trucking operations, transportation, DOT requirements, pilot car operations, and Oregon hauling requirements.
  • Knowledge of current building codes, ADA requirements, and quality compliance standards.
  • Experience ensuring code and quality compliance of completed work in accordance with appropriate UBC, IBC, NEC, CBC, CPC, CEC, ADA and Fire, Life Safety.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality modular construction projects on time and on budget.
  • Provide hands-on leadership by working directly alongside production teams to establish priorities, assign work, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure production operates within applicable standards, regulations, and building codes.
  • Deliver hands-on leadership for administrative and inventory support functions, including inventory and project coordination, customer service, purchase orders, logistics coordination, and operational support.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Sales, Service, Transportation, and other support teams to coordinate resources, inventory, scheduling, logistics, customer needs, and project execution.
  • Maintain the vendor base and establish new supplier relationships; negotiate pricing and service agreements.
  • Manage multiple construction groups working on modular building repair, refurbishment, modification, and maintenance projects.
  • Maximize efficiency by streamlining workflows, reducing costs, implementing best practices, and supporting LEAN initiatives.
  • Lead 6S efforts by ensuring teams maintain organized workspaces, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Order materials and manage inventory to support project schedules and operational needs.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and overall performance.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that foster both personal and professional growth, creating opportunities for career development, cross-training, succession planning, and continuous learning.
  • Lead employee engagement and team-building efforts that strengthen communication, collaboration, accountability, and retention.

  • Monitor employees for safe operation of tools and machinery and ensure proper inspections and safety activities are completed.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, training, audits, and toolbox talks while promoting OSHA and industry best practices.
  • Ensure production operates within established standards, regulations and codes related to the operation of the manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with managers and departments across the organization to support a cohesive team environment and exceptional customer service.
