Construction Plumber
About The Position
FMM is seeking motivated Construction Plumbers to install new plumbing systems on a multi-family construction project in Houma, Louisiana. FMM is a maintenance and construction company serving residential and commercial clients nationwide. The role includes new construction installation and renovation work for both residential and commercial plumbing systems. Candidates with current licenses or certifications will be highly considered and competitively compensated, though relevant industry experience is accepted. Tools are not required but are a plus. The job description notes that duties may change at the company's discretion and that additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing installation.
- High school diploma.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and independently without instruction.
- Comfort using mobile-friendly technology, computers, text, and email.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions using FMM's core values of Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Safety, and Versatility.
Nice To Haves
- Current plumbing licenses or certifications; candidates with them will be highly considered and competitively compensated.
- Tools for plumbing work.
- Training or experience with DWV piping systems, domestic water systems, gas piping, grease trap installation and service, or sewer lines.
- Ability to operate a trackhoe, ditch witch, skid steer, lull, scissor lift, and man lift.
Responsibilities
- Install and renovate residential plumbing systems for new construction projects.
- Install and renovate commercial plumbing systems for new construction projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, peers, and supervisors.
- Handle multiple projects and make decisions in keeping with FMM's core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
